I have been teaching PE in the district since 1999. I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in education/physical education. I also have a master's degree in curriculum and instruction from Olivet Nazarene University.
Teaching in District 89 is all I have ever known. I student taught at Arbor View school and I was hired to teach PE at Briar Glen School, where I taught for nine years. I have been teaching at Westfield school since 2008.
I enjoy going to work every day because I believe in the importance of getting kids active and teaching them the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle. I believe that providing instruction that allows for maximum participation, is developmentally appropriate, and includes a variety of activities will give my students the opportunity to find physical activities they can enjoy for a lifetime!
