Mrs. Karen Croci

Welcome to Briar Glen first grade!

I have been a part of the amazing staff at Briar Glen since 2017, teaching both first and fifth grades. Previously, I taught fourth and fifth grades in District 45 in Lombard, Illinois, for eight years.  I love teaching each grade level for such different reasons, but the greatest part of my job is watching those "Aha!" moments, when things really click for my  students.

I earned my undergraduate degree from Elmhurst College, my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Illinois, and my EL certification from St. Francis University.  My husband and I live in Geneva, along with our four children who continue to keep us busy!

I love being a teacher and am fortunate to work with such wonderful students, parents, and staff in District 89.
