Audrey Jay

I am excited to have joined District 89's Westfield teaching team as a Resource Teacher in 2024!

I have been teaching and working in the educational field since I graduated with my Masters of Arts in Education from Concordia University in 2012 with a Learning Behavior Specialist 1 endorsement from Roosevelt University. Prior to joining CCSD 89, I worked as a self-contained Structured Learning K-2 teacher in Darien for several years. After the birth of my second son, in 2017, I took a break from full-time teaching and was a part-time IEP coordinator at a therapeutic day school. I began my teaching career as a co-teacher in Berwyn, during which I gained my ELL endorsement. I have worn many hats in the Special Education world, and it has been my honor to work with some of the most inspiring and special students around. 

When I am not teaching, you can find me reading, shopping, or spending time with my husband and two sons.
