    The superintendent is the chief executive officer of the school district. The superintendent develops plans, programs, and procedures needed to implement the policies and directs the district’s operations. The superintendent is responsible for the administration and management of the district schools in accordance with Board of Education policies and directives, and state and federal law.

    The superintendent is hired and evaluated by the Board of Education.

    The role of the CCSD 89 Teaching and Learning Department is to work with all CCSD 89 staff to provide a supportive, engaging, and rigorous academic environment for all students. The CCSD 89 Teaching and Learning Department is founded in the principle mission that CCSD89 will empower all learners to recognize and optimize his/her full potential.

    The role of the Business/Finance Department is to manage all aspects of the district's finances. This includes: budget development, cash management, investments, tax levying, contract management, purchasing, payroll, accounts payable, financial reporting, financial projections, and financial compliance with state and federal laws.

    The department also oversees and manages the district's human resources, insurance and risk management, food services, and transportation services.

    The Community Consolidated School District 89 Technology Department is responsible for all the technology in the district. The department supports everything from Internet access and phone systems to all computing devices, such as MacBooks, Chromebooks, and iPads.

    The Community Consolidated School District 89 Buildings and Grounds Department is responsible for keeping all district buildings safe, clean, and ready for learning.
