Enjoy student performances in Glen Crest’s ‘High School Musical’ on May 2-4

Students and families are invited to attend the upcoming performances of Glen Crest Middle School’s “High School Musical”. The performances will be at 7 p.m. Friday, May 2; 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday, May 3; and 2 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at Glen Crest, 725 Sheehan Avenue, Glen Ellyn.

General admission tickets are $8. Tickets are $5 for Glen Crest students or staff. The show is about 90 minutes long, including a 15-minute intermission.

The show is directed by Glen Crest teachers Amanda Schmidt and Sam Koppitz.

“High School Musical” is based on the 2006 Disney Channel movie. The play follows a star athlete and his studious girlfriend as they try to balance their musical auditions with their other extracurricular obligations.

This is the fourth consecutive year Glen Crest has put on a musical. In April, the cast will be traveling to the elementary schools to give short performances at all four schools.
