CCSD 89 'Update' community newsletters
-
In addition the Annual Report, Community Consolidated School District 89 communicates directly with all district residents through the "Update" community newsletter. The newsletter provides taxpayers with an insight into how the district is being administrated and how resources are being used to deliver education.
The newsletter often includes: a message from the Superintendent, information about district initiatives, student and student celebrations, calendar updates, district fundraisers, and testing and budgetary updates.
(Note: In order to reduce costs, CCSD 89 mails its publications by postal routes. This means a few individuals who are not in the district’s attendance areas may receive this newsletter.)
The "Update" newsletter is just one way the district communicates with the community. News is also shared through the district website, social media sites (including Facebook and Twitter), news releases, the Annual Report, and school newsletters.
